Only one week after launching its new "Like" button, Facebook's new social media features have sprung up on over 50,000 sites across the world.

The fact that Facebook has made it easy to integrate its new functionality into existing websites means there is an ever-lower barrier for website providers to take advantage of social media in reaching out to their audiences.
