Back in 2010, the Australian Commonwealth Government announced that all its must reach Level AA compliance under WCAG 2 by the end of 2014. In a milestone for Webdragon, we recently completed a detailed accessibility report for a recently relaunched departmental site, including two web applications.

The project was undertaken in partnership with Sheryl Dwyer of Lukeira (link opens in new window), taking advantage of her deep expertise in applying accessibility guidelines within government.

This project gave Webdragon an opportunity to set our services aside from other providers. Not only did we point out the accessibility issues relating to Levels A, AA and AAA under WCAG 2, we also provided detailed development instructions on how to correct each issue, at the level of visual design, template code and content development.

As the Government-wide deadline for compliance fast approaches, Webdragon and Lukeira look forward to completing more reports, ensuring government websites deliver services in the most accessible ways possible.
