Firefox has long been one of the most accessible web browsers, alongside Internet Explorer. Now there are plans for version 10 to be more accessible than ever before.

Ever since shifting to a faster release cycle several months ago, new Firefox versions have been appearing regularly, often including only minor variations compared with each previous version.

In version 10, accessibility code gets an overhaul, meaning much better usage with software like NVDA and Orca.

You can try these features now by downloading the nightly Firefox builds (opens in new window), or read more at Marco's accessibility blog (opens in new window).
