One of the largest hospital fundraising appeals in Australia, the Royal Children's Hospital Good Friday Appeal, made great use of Facebook in its 2010 Good Friday Appeal, with more than 38,000 people becoming fans of the appeal.

Those fans shared their stories, urging each other to donate to the charity that had helped support them in the past.
