At the International Technology & Persons with Disabilities Conference in San Diego it was announced that the next release of Acrobat, Acrobat Reader, Flash Player and Flex will support the iAccessible2 API. This is a great step forward for accessibility as currently the API is restricted to the Windows platform only. The integration of this API will ensure that developers have the tools necessary to expose their content to assistive technologies.
